This 1970 Buick GS Stage 1 is one of 664 4-speed Stage 1 hardtops produced in 1970. It retains its matching-numbers 455/360hp engine, which puts out 510 ft/lbs of torque. It also retains its matching-numbers M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission and 3.64 Posi-Traction rear end, as well as the correct and date coded cylinder heads, intake, carb, distributor, and alternator. This Stage 1 has undergone a full frame-off restoration completed by Thornton Autoworks from Tedford, PA. It has been refinished in its original Glacier White over black bucket seat interior. This car was ordered for serious go and little else, with manual aluminum front drum brakes and no power steering. Options include B4 full length console, D5 AM/FM Sonomatic radio, D6 Rear speaker, H6 Rally Ride Control, L1 Tinted glass, U5 Instrument group (gauges with tach), and Y2 Rally steering wheel. It includes some amazing documentation, including its retail order form, original car invoice, installment agreement, Protect-O-Plate, new car warranty book, owner's manual, build sheet, tank sticker, and more. This GS was judged and awarded Concourse Gold at the Buick Nationals in 2010 and includes Concours judging sheets and Sloan-Longway report.
