2018 cobra jet mustang

This 2018 Ford Mustang is #65 of 68 50th Anniversary Cobra Jet turn-key race cars produced by Ford Performance to commemorate the 1968 debut of the Mustang Cobra Jet. Power is supplied by a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 paired with a T4 three-speed racing transmission and a 9″ Strange Engineering rear axle. Additional equipment includes a parachute, wheelie bar, NHRA-certified roll cage, carbon-fiber hood, RacePak digital dashboard display, Racetech fixed-back seats, bumper-mounted battery kill switch, and Cobra Jet side graphics and badging.  The forged-aluminum RC Components wheels measure 4″ in width up front and 10″ wide out back, are accented by commemorative dates and Cobra Jet lettering, and are mounted with Mickey Thompson ET competition tires. The car is equipped with Strange Engineering two-way adjustable coilover suspension and multi-piston calipers fitted over slotted rotors. Each 50th Anniversary Cobra Jet Mustang was modified by Ford Performance, and this example is finished in Oxford White. Acquired by the owner in November of 2019 from Rock River Ford in Rockford, Illinois, this Cobra Jet is now offered on a bill of sale in an original invoice from the dealer. This vehicle has been started regularly but never driven down the dragstrip.
